CEFIPRA Seminars - Academia-Academia Collaboration (CSRP)


This scheme supports seminars and workshops focused on fundamental research topics of mutual interest. CEFIPRA facilitate for organizing seminars/workshops in areas of current relevance and applied areas of science and technology. The seminars/workshops have a key objective of initiating interactions among scientists and technologists from India & France and are expected to result in Industry-Academia & Academia-Academia centric collaborations.



Eligibility Criteria


  • There can be maximum 25-30 participants from different institutions in the host country and at least 8-10 scientists from different institutions for the other country.
  • Support is exclusively available to researchers affiliated with Indian and French universities.
  • Involvement of the young scientists and technologists of the host country as a part of the attendees is encouraged.

To ensure maximum benefit, Indian and French participants should attend the seminar/workshop in person and actively contribute to the discussions for collaborations



CSRP (Thematic Areas):


  1. Health.
    • One Health & Climate Change,
    • Early detection of emerging/important pathogens,
    • Developments of new vaccines and therapeutics for infectious diseases,
    • AI for early diagnosis of emerging/important diseases,
    • Comprehensive studies on metabolic and cardiovascular diseases and
    • Novel therapeutics and biological for emerging/important diseases.
  2. Marine Sciences.
    • Underwater Systems, Instrumentation & Robotics,
    • Advanced Materials for Floating and Mobile Systems,
    • Geosciences from the Coast to Deep Waters,
    • Physics and Biochemistry of Oceans,
    • Oceans Observations & Modeling including the Ocean & Climate Nexus,
    • Ocean & Climate and Marine Biology & Pollution.
