CEFIPRA Seminars - Academia-Academia Collaboration (CSRP)

This scheme supports seminars and workshops focused on fundamental research topics of mutual interest. CEFIPRA facilitates these academic gatherings in emerging and applied areas of science and technology. The primary objective is to foster collaborative interactions among Indian and French scientists and technologists, ultimately promoting both Academia-Academia and Industry-Academia partnerships.

Eligibility Criteria

• Up to 25-30 participants from various institutions in the host country.
• At least 8-10 scientists from the different institutions for the other country.
• Support is available only to researchers affiliated with Indian and French universities.
• Inclusion of early-career researchers and young technologists from the host country is strongly encouraged.
• To ensure productive exchanges, participants from both countries are expected to attend in person and actively engage in collaborative discussions
• Seminars must include at least five partner-country researchers attending in person; proposals not meeting this requirement will not be supported

Following are Thematic Areas (Call for Proposal Closed)

1. Health Sciences:
Sub areas:
i) One Health & Climate Change,
ii) Early detection of emerging/important pathogens,
iii) Developments of new vaccines and therapeutics for infectious diseases,
iv) AI for early diagnosis of emerging/important diseases,
v) Comprehensive studies on metabolic and cardiovascular diseases and
vi) Novel therapeutics and biological for emerging/important diseases.

2. Marine Sciences:
Sub areas:
i) Underwater Systems,
ii) Instrumentation & Robotics,
iii) Advanced Materials for Floating and Mobile Systems,
iv) Geosciences from the Coast to Deep Waters,
v) Physics and Biochemistry of Oceans,
vi) Oceans Observations & Modeling including the Ocean & Climate Nexus,
vii) Ocean & Climate and Marine Biology & Pollution.

Funding Support:

1. Up to 25,000 EURO for events hosted in France
2. Equivalent amount in INR for events hosted in India
